We Are Back Folks!

Wow! I know it has been a long time since I last posted anything....well in that time a lot of things have taken place and changed!

First and foremost, we made the move back to Texas from the Land of Sand (Abu Dhabi, UAE).  Although it was a move back to our home country of Texas (Yes, it is its own nation! LOL, well at least to Texans it is!), it was not a move back to our original hometown in East Texas.  We are now settled in on the complete opposite side of Texas in the West Texas Dust Bowl (from one desert to another), in small community called Greenwood.  The boys have made friends and become involved with school sports.

Our oldest, Clay, began college shortly after we returned in 2017. He is just 2 hours away at Texas Tech, so that makes him close enough for a visit!  However, college and his job, keeps him pretty busy, plus his beautiful girlfriend, Sophia, just graduated high school in the Land of Sand, and has now joined him at Texas Tech as a Red Raider---"wreck 'em Tech"!  They are both enjoying being back in the same time zone with each other!  Young Love!

Our second born, Joshua, is now a Junior in high school. He is playing football, take dual credit high school classes, and working a part-time job at Hobby Lobby!  He is doing all of these things very well!  Super proud of the young man he is becoming!

Our youngest, Denver, is now Freshman in high school!  He just turned 15 and has begun the tedious process of the online driver's ed coursework....Fun times!  By this time next year we will have all three boys listed as licensed drivers on our insurance...YIKES!!  Denver is gearing up for high school baseball, and he has straight A's this past 6 weeks on his report card....way to go bubba!

Clint (our trusty family leader and my loving hubby), is staying very busy with his career as the oilfield continues to grow in West TX!

Probably the biggest change for me personally, is that since we returned to TX, I decided to obtain my master's degree and to pursue principal certification!  Shocked?...Well believe me, I am too!  That process has gone very well though, and I am set to graduate in May 2019.  With this change, I also stepped away from the classroom, out of the teacher role, and into an administrative role.... wow, huh?!?!?!  Well so far that professional change has been a challenge but not in a bad way!  It has definitely been a progressive learning curve.  On days that I have not felt that I was at my best, my hubby would remind me that he has never known me to not succeed!  He is a keeper folks, and I am glad he is in my corner!
This past summer we took our first cruise ever for the both of us!  We had a great time just the two of us (myself and my hubby).  We boarded our cruise ship and then as we sailed across the Gulf of Mexico to the destination ports of Cozumel and Progreso.  And now we have just booked our 2nd cruise for Spring Break and we are taking our two younger boys, Joshua and Denver.  This will be their first cruise...going to see Montego Bay, Grand Cayman, and Cozumel!  (So thankful for payment plans!)

I will try to do better about posting!  May you all be blessed!
