What do you want to know?

If you are a frequent follower of my blog posts, first of all thank you for joining us on our journey, and then secondly... I want to know what would you like to know?  I will continue to post on things that are happening with us on a regular basis but your thoughts and questions may be what we need to find out even more about this area.  Let me be your eyes, ears, and legs!  Since you can't be here in person, then maybe I can find the answers to your questions!  So if you have something you would like me to find out or see, post a comment!

  1. I would love to know how the postal service works! Since I work with it daily how does it work on your end. So say for example ur shoppi g just a regular envelope? It's .45 cents... Well if u ship something that is 3 oz.... It's 1.69 thru Paypal I think 1.89 thru the post office? So what's shipping like over there?
Also what's the rules? What do u have to ship in? Do u have to fill out lots of paper work just to ship stuff? Do they have a over night service? Do they have a ups? Or a fed ex like we do? Oh so many questions!!

Also what's the weather like over there? Is ur Texas weather? Rain then sunny? Lol! Bet u don't miss that! It's so hot over here right now it's unreal!!!!

    Hope to hear from you!!

    Love Kendra!

    1. Hey Kendra! I am so glad that you are reading the blog.... I am still trying to figure out the postal system here as well! I can tell you that when I was needing to send some school applications over for my boys new school from the states, it cost us $97 just to send a stack of regular size copy papers no thicker than 1/4" and barely weighed anything!!! Crazy! FedEx and UPS are here. I sent the forms by UPS. You have to be careful about the things that you get shipped over. You can't get things like tobacco products, alcohol, weapons or ammunition, or perishable foods. I am sure that there is an overnight service but anything from the states will take at least 2 days to get here. We are on the other side of the Earth, so it will take a little while. You don't really have a lot of paperwork to fill out that I know of. There was form to complete when I mailed from the states to here but that was it. They wanted to know the value of what you were shipping and what exactly was being shipped had to be declared.

Now as far as the weather....It is HOT! It was about 115 here yesterday, and in the desert it can reach 140! It has been dry...no rain. On average it only rains about 3 times each year and they have already had that for the year..HHAHHAHAH! Everyone says that the summer is the worst part of the year but that it starts cooling off towards the end of September and then it starts getting really nice outside. The winter is the best time of the year here. There are actually mornings during the winter that have been in the 50's before but then it warms up to about 80 something. We will see!
